On Ward 50 at the Medical Clinic, Mora Hospital, we are now welcoming more assistant nurses who want to help create good care – together. Here, team spirit is strong, the patient is at the center, and joy in work is a natural part of everyday life. Ward 50 is an internal medicine ward focusing on kidney diseases, lung diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders. We often care for patients with complex needs and work in a person-centered way to create safe, secure, and cohesive care. Here, assistant nurses, nurses, and doctors work closely together. In our daily work, we also collaborate with rehabilitation staff, dietitians, and speech therapists. Every professional role is significant and contributes to both high care quality and a good work environment.

How we work:

  • Teamwork is the foundation of our approach – we support each other during shifts.
  • Each team consists of assistant nurses, nurses, and doctors.
  • The team is jointly responsible for the patients during the shift and during rounds.
Responsibilities

As an assistant nurse here, you work closest to the patient and are a central part of the daily care work. Your tasks are varied and vital to the overall care of the patient. During your shift, you assist patients with and perform tasks such as:

  • General nursing care.
  • Monitoring and following up on vital signs.
  • Sample collection.
  • Dressing changes.
  • Meal assistance.

Since you work closest to the patient, you play a central role in detecting symptoms and signs of illness, which you then report to your team, thereby creating the foundation for good and safe care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Educated assistant nurse (Care and Nursing Program or vocational package via adult education).

Merits:

  • Experience working in healthcare.
  • Experience from an internal medicine ward.
  • Ability to present a diploma from the Care and Nursing College.
