Registered Nurse in Hedemora Municipality

As a registered nurse in Hedemora Municipality, you have a varied job. You work broadly and coordinate interventions both independently and together with colleagues in a competent care team, for the benefit of the municipality's residents.

The municipality is responsible for health and medical care interventions up to the nurse level. In your job as a nurse within municipal health and medical care, you meet and help people with a great need for nursing and health and medical care interventions within elderly care, LSS (Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), social psychiatry, and home care (0 years and up). The position includes on-call duties, which means approximately 3–5 evenings and 2 weekends per 6 weeks.

Job Responsibilities

You are important to many. We need you who are a registered nurse and have a genuine interest and commitment to health and medical care within municipal operations. You need to be flexible and driven as you have a coordinating role and many contacts where the starting point is to have the patient in focus.

The system we use for medical records is PULSEN.

  • You plan and structure the work largely independently towards the individual patient and their relatives.
  • You assess and perform medical treatment and nursing interventions, which you also follow up and document according to current legislation.
  • You have close contact with other nursing staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, unit managers, assistance officers, and regional operations.
  • You educate and supervise nursing staff, patients, and their relatives/next of kin.

Qualifications

  • The position requires that you are a registered nurse.
  • Experience in the profession is meritorious but not a requirement.
  • Experience from municipal health and medical care is meritorious but not a requirement.
  • You cooperate, collaborate, and communicate in a professional, respectful, and positive manner.
  • You have good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as computer proficiency.
  • The position requires that you have a B-driving license for manual transmission.
  • Experience working independently and with self-drive, as the position to some extent involves solo work.
