About the Department

The ward is part of the specialist clinic Medicine Geriatrics and Rehabilitation. We have 34 inpatient beds where we care for patients across two sections: one containing geriatric and rehabilitation beds, and the other caring for patients with various acute internal medical conditions. Our main patient groups include those with infections, cardiac conditions, COPD/Asthma, geriatric patients, and patients in need of rehabilitation after stroke or orthopedic conditions.

Responsibilities

The tasks are varied and offer good opportunities for both professional and personal development over time. You will work with everything from nursing care, wound dressings, injections and infusions, blood transfusions, and medication management to medical technology equipment, contact with relatives, and medical record keeping. The role also includes supervising students from the Nursing Program at Dalarna University during T4 and T6.

The position involves day, evening, and weekend shifts, with voluntary rotation to night shifts. There is also the possibility of weekend-only shifts at our workplace.

You will have the opportunity to be involved in planning your schedule. We utilize reduced working hours according to the current agreement.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience in emergency care or previous experience in somatic inpatient care is advantageous.
