Drömstan Home Care in Lidköping is looking for a Specialist Nurse Aide in Elderly Care

Job Responsibilities

As a Specialist Nurse Aide in Elderly Care, you should, from a holistic perspective, be a reflective practitioner with a conscious and professional approach based on knowledge within the elderly care sector. Your main tasks, in addition to daily care work, are to be a role model and support for your colleagues and to assist with development work at the unit.

This is done by, among other things, spreading knowledge and supporting colleagues in questions regarding documentation, implementation plans, and quality registers. You will also teach about current knowledge/methods by holding training sessions and guidance for your colleagues. The work also includes close collaboration with other professions such as nurses and unit managers, as you will be an important link in the quality-improving work directed towards the care staff.

As a specialist nurse aide, you are part of the basic staff in the day-to-day work. You work according to the facility's regular scheduling model.

Who are you?

You who apply should have the ability to create security and to meet and understand the user's needs. For you, it is natural to have a professional approach in your work and you always put the user at the center. To thrive and do a good job, you need to be independent and able to take responsibility, but at the same time be a team player with the ability to cooperate and support others. In the role of specialist nurse aide, you need to have a positive approach, flexibility, a sense of service, as well as respect and care in all relationships. You also need to have pedagogical skills and be comfortable holding training and guidance for groups. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

• Certificate of protected professional title for nurse aide from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a certificate from a previous employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nurse aide on July 1, 2023.
• University college degree as an elderly-specialized nurse aide or specialist nurse aide in elderly care – or similar specialist nurse aide degree within the elderly care sector.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

• Experience of similar work and/or education within dementia care.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Other

To be employed in the role of nurse aide, you need to attach proof of the protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had/have a permanent position as a nurse aide on July 1, 2023, with your application.

You will work scheduled hours such as day, evening, weekend. The position is a permanent position, 100%, with the possibility of desired level of employment.

Your main workplace will be Tofta Home Care, but your employment is within the entire Social Welfare department in Lidköping Municipality. This means that work at other home care units may occur.

Certificate of Conduct

Before being offered employment, you as a candidate are required to present a certificate of conduct from the police register for work in any of the following areas; school or preschool, work with children in activities other than school and childcare, work with children according to LSS, work at or in connection with HVB homes, work with the elderly or persons with disabilities. You order the certificate via the Police website. The certificate must be presented before employment can begin.
