We are now strengthening our home care services in Åhus and are looking for a nursing assistant (undersköterska). The work group consists of approximately 25 nursing assistants and care assistants who work according to schedules, including days, evenings, and weekends. Your role with us

As a nursing assistant, you will work in one of the most meaningful and enriching roles available – contributing to our customers having a secure and meaningful daily life in their own homes. A professional attitude and good customer service are a given for us. The work in home care involves care and service interventions in ordinary housing based on the customer's individual needs, as well as delegated home healthcare. We work with a clear customer focus, where the customers' needs and wishes are always at the center.

An important part of the assignment is to work in a team around the customer to create a good overall perspective. The work also includes being a contact person. You are offered varied work with nursing interventions, activities, and delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff.

We use Lifecare as a planning tool, and the work may involve both driving and cycling.

The home care services in Kristianstad Municipality focus on quality and competence. Therefore, we have chosen to streamline the nursing assistant role by separating service interventions from care work within home care. This gives you, as a nursing assistant, the opportunity to focus on the tasks you are trained for and do best.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a approved education in care and nursing, via the care and nursing program or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Work experience is meritorious, preferably from home care or other care and nursing activities. Education in psychiatry or dementia care is also considered meritorious.

Since communication and documentation are a natural part of the work, you need to have good computer skills and be proficient in Swedish, both orally and in writing. To get around to our customers, a B driving license is required. You also need to be able to cycle as cycling rounds occur.

As a person, you have good cooperation skills and a professional attitude towards customers, relatives, and colleagues. You work independently, can plan and structure your work. You also have the ability to work towards set goals and can adapt when conditions change.

The operations of the Care Administration are directed towards the elderly and persons who need functional support, as well as persons who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing housing, health and medical care, and functional support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the national upper secondary school, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
