Occupational Therapist for Resource Unit – LSS and Healthcare

About the Position

1 position (100%)

The Resource Unit is a new unit within healthcare at Landskrona Omsorg and needs an occupational therapist who is interested in working within LSS (The Support and Service Act for Certain Groups of Persons with Functional Impairments). We are looking for you who want to influence, enjoy challenges, and see opportunities in the assignment.

Responsibilities

The team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and nurses who collaborate with patients, patient-facing staff, pedagogical developers, unit managers, and others to achieve the intentions of LSS.

We provide operational support at different levels:

• At the individual level: We work to promote increased participation and self-determination. We adapt and clarify daily life for the individual.
• At the unit level: We work with supervision regarding interaction issues, support, and adaptation in activities.
• At a broader level: We work on competence development within the LSS area for the staff group.

As an occupational therapist, you are part of the pedagogical support in methods and activities at all levels. The municipal healthcare assignment targets people over 20 years of age with disabilities who have an LSS intervention. The area covers special and ordinary housing as well as day activities.

The work includes:

• Supervision for staff, relatives, and users.
• Assessment, fitting, and prescription of assistive devices.
• ADL (Activities of Daily Living) and functional assessments.
• Issuing certificates (e.g., for housing adaptations).

We have a close collaboration with Medelpunkten, a well-functioning assistive device center with high competence in assistive device supply. As a prescriber, you will have access to expert support, regular training, technical advice, and a wide range of assistive devices. This creates the best conditions for individually tailored and high-quality interventions for our patients.

We also have trained social service dogs in nearby operations that we collaborate with to promote meaningful activities for our patients.

Requirements and Merits

Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).
• Good computer skills and good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Merits:

• Knowledge of documentation in Lifecare HSL and Mina Planer.
• Experience and competence within the LSS area.
• Work with e.g., AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), low-affective interaction, or clarifying pedagogy.
