For our client, an established Swedish IT service company with extensive experience in operating and outsourcing business-critical IT environments, we are now looking for a Senior Operations Technician. The company delivers stable and secure IT services to customers with high demands for availability and operational security.

In this role, you will work in complex IT environments where stable operations, rapid troubleshooting, and technical understanding are key. You will become an important part of a technical team that ensures business-critical systems and applications function in production.

About the role

• You work with operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments
• You identify, analyze, and resolve incidents in both server and application layers
• You work closely with other technicians and functions to ensure stable operations and high availability
• You combine proactive stability work with reactive incident management
• You work in complex IT environments with high demands for operational security

Your responsibilities will include

• Operations and monitoring of server and IT environments in production
• Troubleshooting of systems, applications, and infrastructure
• Incident management and problem-solving in complex environments
• Administration of Windows Server and Active Directory
• Virtualization environments (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
• Network troubleshooting (routing, switching, firewalls)
• Backup, recovery, and ensuring operational security
• Collaboration with other technical teams during application-related incidents
• Documentation of incidents and solutions

We believe you have

• 7–10 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or a similar role
• Extensive experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
• Experience working in production environments with high stability requirements
• Experience troubleshooting in both system and application layers
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
• Good understanding of networks and network troubleshooting
• Experience with backup and storage solutions
• Fluent Swedish and good English in speech and writing

Meritorious

• PowerShell or other scripting
• Experience with monitoring and surveillance tools
• ITIL or similar incident processes
• Experience with hybrid environments (on-prem/cloud)
• Experience from larger operations or outsourcing environments
