As a Control System Specialist Process and Plants, you will have a key role within our Biogas business unit. Your main purpose is to provide technical support to our facilities and ensure the highest quality through production support, operations, maintenance, optimization, and further development of our control systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS).

In this role, you will enjoy varied and stimulating work where you focus daily on troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization of our control systems and the industrial OT environment. You will work proactively to ensure that all technical documentation and our backup systems are constantly kept up to date and secure.

In addition to ongoing maintenance, you will actively drive and participate in exciting development and investment projects where your expertise will be crucial. The work is characterized by close and dynamic collaboration, where you act as technical support for both operators, maintenance teams, and external partners. You report directly to our Senior Maintenance Manager. Since our facilities are located in several places, the position requires considerable travel, primarily to our facilities in Sweden and Denmark.

This is a specialist role without personnel, budget, or approval authority, allowing you to focus entirely on the technology and your own development.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and further develop the production control systems at our biogas facilities.
• Actively participate in new projects, following the entire process from initial design to final commissioning.
• Create and program applications in PLC for efficient control and monitoring of facilities and equipment.
• Drive and lead your own smaller sub-projects, with secure support from your nearest manager.
• Ensure that automation-related hardware and software are always up to date, and perform important maintenance measures and health checks.
• Act as technical support for the production team to maintain sustainable alarm levels and resolve software-related issues within the business unit.
• Cover for and substitute for your colleagues within the control systems as needed.
• Health, Environment, and Safety (HSE): Safety always comes first with us. You are expected to follow Gasum's standards and processes, drive continuous improvement work, and translate important lessons into practice based on the "Plan-do-check-act" methodology.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in the role, we look for the following profile:

• A university degree in engineering, or equivalent educational level, with a focus on automation.
• Experience with automation within the process industry (up to 1 year).
• Specialist competence and in-depth knowledge within Siemens control systems.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel for work.
• Valid driver's license.

As a person, you are motivated by solving technical challenges, working structured in project form, and collaborating closely with production teams. You are meticulous, responsible, and have a genuine interest in industrial IT and security.
