What you do matters. As a Material Planner for our automotive client in Skövde, you ensure that our production maintains a steady flow and that our customers receive the right materials at the right time. This is a full-time consulting assignment starting August 17th and running until December 20, 2026.
In this role, you are responsible for planning and ensuring efficient material supply from suppliers to our manufacturing units. By analyzing and acting on late or early deliveries, as well as other deviations and warnings, you ensure high delivery precision and good material availability in production. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to make quick decisions contribute daily to keeping the business running smoothly.
About the Role
As a Material Planner, you will among other things:
- Daily follow up on deliveries from suppliers against the call-off plan and act on deviations.
- Handle deviations quickly and make cost-effective decisions to minimize the risk of production disruptions, for example by coordinating express deliveries.
- Inform and communicate with internal stakeholders regarding materials with elevated risk.
- Ensure that master data is correct and up-to-date to enable reliable MRP calculations.
- Monitor inventory levels to optimize warehousing and avoid both material shortages and overstock.
- Monitor MRP alarms (e.g., missing ASN) and take necessary actions.
- Maintain ongoing contact with suppliers and colleagues within the operation to manage risks and critical situations in the supply chain.
- Continuously work on improvements within your area of responsibility, for example through optimization of inventory, transport, and working methods.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you are structured, analytical, and solution-oriented. You enjoy working at a high pace where you need to prioritize and make quick decisions. You are flexible, find it easy to collaborate with people from different cultures, and work equally well independently as part of a team.
You are communicative and relationship-building, with the ability to build long-term collaborations both internally and externally. As a person, you are engaged, proactive, and have strong self-drive. You appreciate working in a team where knowledge is shared, support is provided, and fun is had together.
We are looking for someone who has:
- An academic degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or equivalent, or alternatively documented experience in logistics or Supply Chain.
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or PipeChain is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power BI, or other tools for so-called Citizen Development is a significant advantage.
- Very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
What We Offer
With us, you become part of an engaged and supportive team where collaboration, development, and continuous improvements are in focus. Here you have the opportunity to work in an international environment with a central role in ensuring an efficient and sustainable supply chain.
