Description

We provide medical technology to support healthcare and its digitalization in Skaraborg. We consciously work to create high value and take pride in what we do together. We believe in an engaged work environment where you, as an employee, have great opportunities to develop and grow in a setting where you truly make a difference. Competence development is a key component for all our employees, and if you actively strive to develop yourself, this is the role for you. As an employee here, you are a vital part of and an important support to healthcare.

Job Responsibilities

As a biomedical engineer or biomedical technician here, you provide significant support to the hospital's operations and enable interventions that affect many. We are looking for someone who finds joy in working with interesting technology that directly benefits healthcare, with patient safety as the focus. We are currently seeking one to two employees, primarily within the imaging diagnostics field (excluding the radiological area), in the form of biomedical engineers or biomedical technicians. This is to replace an upcoming retirement and potentially for replacement recruitment.

Within the imaging diagnostics area, you work with advanced biomedical equipment used for diagnosis and treatment within the hospital's operations. This includes, for example, endoscopy, ultrasound, and various image management systems with associated peripheral equipment. The content has a strong connection to IT, so competence in this area is also considered an asset.

The role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, and technical support for healthcare operations. You collaborate closely with clinical staff, suppliers, and other technical functions to ensure that equipment operates safely, reliably, and in accordance with current regulations.

The work also includes planning and implementing equipment replacements, participating in investment and development projects, and assisting in the procurement and evaluation of new biomedical equipment. Documentation, quality assurance, and work according to applicable laws, regulations, and routines are a natural part of the assignment.

The tasks vary, and together with a team of colleagues, you work to find solutions to various problems. Here, you are offered a thorough introduction as well as training initiatives as part of your work and competence development. In the role, you work to provide technical competence, advice, and training related to biomedical equipment. Here, you work in collaboration with operations to improve, digitalize, and/or automate workflows using technical support.

The unit operates across the entire Skaraborg region, so travel is part of the job. Therefore, a valid driver's license (Category B) is required.

Qualifications

For the engineer role, we are looking for you who are educated as a university engineer or higher. For the biomedical technician role, a relevant post-secondary education in technology is required, or education/experience that the employer deems relevant. Practical and theoretical experience of biomedical technology is meritorious. As a person, you are solution-oriented, curious, and have a service-oriented attitude. You are clear and confident in your communication and build trust with people internally within the organization as well as with suppliers and other stakeholders. Healthcare is being digitalized to a large extent, and the connection between biomedical products and IT systems is growing stronger, so competence and system understanding in the IT area are therefore highly valued.

You are proactive and self-starting in your work. You also have good teamwork skills and are structured and meticulous. You can communicate well in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You further contribute to a good work climate and good relationships within the work group.

We are keen to find the right person for the position and will therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability and the balance between skills and knowledge. An extract from the criminal record will be requested prior to any employment. The role may be subject to security clearance.

We warmly welcome your application today; we look forward to getting to know you.
