Are you a skilled DevOps Engineer who thrives at the intersection of development and operations? In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the technical foundation for our benefit trains. We are looking for someone who wants to combine technical expertise with a strong drive to support others, enabling smooth software delivery through automation and stable CI/CD flows in an organization that makes a real difference.
About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer here, you play a crucial role in shaping and maintaining the technical foundation for your team and train. You belong to a cross-functional team but also operate in a close DevOps context alongside colleagues who share your expertise. You become the link that merges development and operations into an efficient whole.
Your Responsibilities:
Your focus is on building, maintaining, and continuously improving the infrastructure and workflows required for modern software delivery. You are expected to:
- Drive Automation: In collaboration with platform teams, you develop innovative solutions for automation and release processes.
- Ensure Quality: You are responsible for system upgrades and ensure that our CI/CD guidelines are not only followed but also kept up to date with industry standards.
- Support Development Teams: A significant part of your daily work involves acting as a technical enabler, helping developers remove obstacles in their processes.
- End-to-End Responsibility: We work on the principle of "You build it, you run it." This means you are involved from building the solution to taking responsibility for its operation and stability. On-call duties are included for a number of evenings and weekends per year.
Who are you in the team?
You thrive working both independently and in close collaboration with others. Since you possess expert knowledge that is often missing in other parts of the organization, your pedagogical approach and willingness to share your competence are crucial. You are a key person for us to deliver smoothly, securely, and efficiently.
Your Profile
To succeed in the role of DevOps Engineer, we see that you are a self-starting person who takes great ownership of your responsibilities. You have the ability to structure your own work and drive complex processes forward, even when conditions change. You are proactive and curious, with a strong focus on driving innovation. By exploring new technical solutions and turning creative ideas into practice, you actively contribute to raising our efficiency and developing our ways of working.
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You thrive in a changing technical environment and have a natural aptitude for analyzing problems and proposing stable, scalable solutions.
You are receptive, have good collaboration and communication skills. You are driven by a desire to help others and strive to deliver solutions that make life easier for your colleagues and the team.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed higher vocational education (YH) in DevOps or equivalent.
- Fluency in Swedish (written and spoken) and good knowledge of English.
- Several years of experience working with Linux-based platforms and infrastructure environments, preferably in DevOps or DevEx teams.
- Several years of experience in technical troubleshooting and incident management in complex, heterogeneous IT environments.
- Good technical understanding and experience collaborating with technical teams, architects, and other stakeholders.
Merits:
- Work experience in system administration in a Linux-based production environment.
- Experience configuring/developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Work experience with container technology using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
