Do you live in or near Hässelby and need a part-time job? You now have the opportunity to work as a personal assistant starting from mid-August to cover for sick leave and holidays.

You will be working for "M", a man in his 60s, who shares an apartment with his husband and cat in Hässelby Villastad. "M" has significant mobility impairments and requires 24/7 assistance. "M" communicates via a speech-generating device and has very limited and unclear speech. Therefore, it is important that you have a good command of the Swedish language.

The duties include assisting with all aspects of "M's" life, both planned and unplanned. This includes close personal assistance such as intimate hygiene, oral hygiene, and dressing. It also includes accompanying "M" to various activities outside the home. Additionally, all household tasks are included.

As a personal assistant, you play a very significant role in "M's" life. Key qualities include being responsible, both towards "M's" needs and in relation to your colleagues regarding the execution of tasks.

Furthermore, you are patient, meaning you take the time to listen to "M's" needs and wishes, do not get stressed, and are willing to adjust plans if necessary. Your empathy is shown through your ability to put yourself in another person's situation and listen to others' requests. You should naturally be a calm person who can speed up if the situation requires it. It is also important that you have a strong sense of order in the tasks you perform. A love for music and a sense of humor are plus points. A driver's license is an asset!

Knowledge of aquarium maintenance is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of the assistance required, only female applicants are considered.

You are offered a hourly position, where you will initially work double shifts together with another assistant. Once you have settled into the role and completed the introduction, you will be able to work independently. "M" has 24/7 assistance with a awake night shift, offering the possibility to work varying hours, both longer and shorter shifts.

Personal maturity and life experience are valued. It is highly advantageous if you live near northwestern Stockholm.
