Job Description

At present, Stenungsund Municipality is seeking temporary staff for preschools, primary schools, and after-school centers. Here, you make an important contribution to the development, learning, and growth of children and students based on their own prerequisites.

You control when you want to work by making yourself available on the days and times you wish in a program called Time Care Pool. In the program, you also have the opportunity to see which shifts are available in the future and express your interest in them.

As a temporary staff member, it means you can be booked on the same day with short notice to replace permanent staff. No day is the same as the other, which makes the job both challenging and developmental. The facility's opening hours are weekdays from 06:00 to 18:00.

Preschool

The education in preschool should offer children secure care and lay the foundation for children's security and self-esteem. In preschool, we work with the youngest children between 1-5 years old.

You will work with:

• Participating in children's play and activities, indoors and outdoors
• Supporting children in their development
• Being familiar with the preschool curriculum Lpfö 18

Primary School and After-School Centers

The education in primary school and after-school centers should offer students secure care and lay the foundation for children's security and self-esteem. In primary school and after-school centers, we work with children between 6-16 years old.

You may come to work with:

• Holding your own lessons or alternatively supporting permanent teachers during lesson time
• Being helpful with indoor and outdoor activities
• Helping and supporting children in their development according to the curriculum
• Being responsible for the after-school center operations together with permanent staff; for part of the day, you may be solely responsible
• You will gain valuable work experience and a unique insight into different operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Can work with short notice.
• Master the Swedish language in speech and writing; communication is one of our most important work tools.
• Are expected to have a good attitude towards both children, students, guardians, and colleagues.

Desirable:

• Education within the professional field.
• Work experience within preschool/school.

The work as a temporary staff member consists of many meetings where you are expected to be a responsible adult and take initiative. Therefore, it is of great importance that you have a positive view of people and good cooperation skills.
