We are looking for two nurses for our psychiatric emergency department at Northern Stockholm Psychiatry (NSP). We are located in the St. Göran hospital area and are the only psychiatric emergency department in Stockholm County.
Our mission is to provide highly specialized psychiatric care for the entire Stockholm County. We handle acute care 24/7. The department receives approximately 21,000 visits per year.
Responsibilities
As a nurse at the psychiatric emergency department, you act as a team leader responsible for patient interviews, triage according to Psyk RETTS, contact with relatives, medication management, and documentation in TakeCare. The role also involves collaboration with relevant professional groups within the emergency department, care partners, and other stakeholders, such as the police, ambulance services, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, the Swedish Migration Agency, and other healthcare providers.
Work within psychiatry is continuously evolving, and NSP constantly strives for modern and innovative working methods. Therefore, participation in the department's quality and development work is a natural part of our employees' roles.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse. Experience in psychiatry is preferred.
- The ability to lead, collaborate, prioritize, be flexible, and quickly adjust work pace are important qualities for success in this role.

Conditions
The position consists of 50% night shifts and 50% day, evening, and weekend shifts. You will work according to an individual schedule.

Regarding patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):
- A register check is conducted before the employment decision, according to SLSO's overarching guidelines.
- Employees with patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination through occupational health services before starting employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement applies to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
