About the role
As a pharmacist within the medication support team, you work across the organization in close collaboration with hospital and care pharmacists, nurses, doctors, and other healthcare staff in both inpatient and outpatient care. You provide operational support in the pharmaceutical field for care and nursing operations, contributing to a safe, efficient, and cost-effective medicine supply, management, and usage.
The position offers variety and the opportunity to influence job content and development areas based on operational needs and your competence.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Together with other pharmacists in the medication support team, be responsible for liquid stock, emergency stock, and rarely used medicines stock at Norrtälje Hospital
- Order and unpack medicines
- Monitor prescribing patterns
- Monitor and handle withdrawals
- Monitor rest situations and recommend alternative medicines
- Perform shelf-life checks and narcotic checks
- Participate in development and improvement projects within the pharmaceutical field
- Plan and conduct training for healthcare staff
- Participate in local and regional working groups

About you
For this position, you need:
- To be a licensed dispensing pharmacist or pharmacist
- A valid driver's license
- Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Courses in clinical pharmacy
- Compounding competence
- Experience of pharmaceutical work within healthcare or quality review of medicine management
- Experience with the medical record system TakeCare
- Experience with the prescribing tool Pascal
You work independently in a team with other pharmacists, are self-initiating, take personal responsibility for your tasks, and have a good ability to plan and structure your work. At the same time, you thrive in close collaboration with different professions and find it easy to build trusting relationships. You are pedagogical, communicative, and confident in your professional role. You are also service-oriented with a strong focus on delivering quality, and you work carefully according to established routines and current regulations.
