About the position

The Pediatric Long-Term Intensive Care Unit (LIVA) is a highly specialized care unit within the Medical Unit Child-PMI ICU and part of the Pediatric Intensive Care Section. Here, children of all ages are treated with complex airway problems, such as breathing difficulties and tracheostomy. The unit is the only one of its kind in Northern Europe and receives patients from all over Sweden.

As a nurse, you work in a multidisciplinary team together with doctors, assistant nurses, and other professions to provide each child with safe, secure, and individualized care. You have close cooperation with the child's relatives and contribute to a care environment where the whole family is the focus.

LIVA has close cooperation with the pediatric intermediate care unit and operates around the clock. The position involves working two weekend shifts per month.

• have a genuine interest in pediatric care and want to contribute to safe and person-centered care
• are proactive and take responsibility for driving your work forward and contributing to the development of the unit
• have good collaboration skills and work in an open and non-hierarchical manner together with colleagues, patients, and relatives
• have a holistic view and consider the best interests of the patient, family, and unit in your decisions and priorities
• are development-oriented and contribute ideas and improvement proposals that strengthen care and operations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Swedish nursing license
• very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Merits:

• experience in pediatric care
• specialist education in pediatric care
