HalmstadTravet is one of Sweden's most prestigious trotting tracks, known for its strong sporting tradition, dedicated members, and growing audience. We are now looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager (50–75%) who wants to develop our digital presence and further strengthen our brand.

About the role

As Marketing and Communications Manager, you will be responsible for planning, producing, and publishing content on our digital platforms. You will lead the work on our website, social media, and digital marketing, ensuring that communication is current, relevant, and engaging for our target groups – members, visitors, partners, and the public.

The role is operational, creative, and central to our operations. You will work closely with the sales department, management, sports officials, and external partners, with significant scope to influence HalmstadTravet's digital expression.

We are looking for more than just a content producer; we seek someone who can independently create marketing plans, initiate campaigns, create engaging content, and drive HalmstadTravet's marketing forward with measurable results.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage HalmstadTravet's website – update news, events, and relevant information
  • Plan and produce content for social media – text, images, video, and campaigns
  • Drive digital marketing for race days, events, and activities
  • Manage HalmstadTravet's ticketing system (Tickster)
  • Create consistent communication that strengthens the brand and increases engagement
  • Collaborate with the sports organization to highlight trainers, horse owners, and race events
  • Monitor statistics and reach in digital channels
  • Contribute to the planning of marketing efforts for major events such as the Swedish Trotting Derby (Sprintermästaren)
  • Produce and finalize HalmstadTravet's race programs for race days using Adobe InDesign
  • Be responsible for layout, content compilation, and quality assurance of race programs and other printed materials

Requirements

  • At least three years of documented experience in marketing and digital communication.
  • Proven success in the sports or events industry, demonstrated through measurable results, audience growth, campaign outcomes, or brand development.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in digital marketing, social media, and content creation, with the ability to translate these into practical and business-driving activities.
  • Excellent ability to write engaging and clear texts.
  • Experience with web publishing (CMS).
  • Good knowledge of image and video editing.
  • Advantageous: Knowledge of trotting sports
