We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for Tylö.

Do you want to work in an organization with international supplier contacts where you can combine business acumen, strategy, and development? Do you have experience in strategic purchasing and thrive on building long-term supplier relationships? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

As a Strategic Buyer, you will become an important part of our purchasing organization within Supply Chain. We are moving our production from Finland to our production facility in Halmstad, which also impacts our purchasing department.

In this role, you are responsible for developing and managing our supplier relationships while ensuring high delivery precision, quality, and cost-efficiency. You monitor supplier performance through relevant KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement that strengthen both the business and our collaborations.

You drive the entire purchasing process from inquiries and contract negotiations to implementation and follow-up. The role also involves close collaboration with both internal functions and external suppliers, where you actively participate in development and improvement projects. The role includes meetings with suppliers on-site in Halmstad, and occasionally travel to our suppliers in Sweden and Europe.

The purchasing department consists of 4–5 employees, and you report to the Purchasing Manager as part of our Supply Chain organization. We work in the business system Jeeves.

Your main responsibilities

• Responsible for strategic purchasing within selected supplier areas.
• Negotiate, sign, develop, and manage supplier agreements.
• Monitor suppliers based on delivery capability, quality, and other relevant KPIs.
• Identify and drive improvement and development projects together with internal employees and external suppliers.
• Ensure long-term and business-oriented supplier collaborations.

We are looking for someone who is analytical, business-driven, and structured. You have strong self-drive and enjoy taking responsibility for your area. You work independently while being skilled at building good relationships and collaborating with people in different functions and cultures.

You are a confident negotiator with good communication skills and have experience leading or participating in development projects. You have an interest in technology and a good understanding of technical products and components.

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant university or college education, preferably as an engineer.
• At least three years of experience in qualified strategic purchasing.
• Very strong negotiation skills.
• Experience in development and improvement projects.
• Good knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
