Department of Women and Children includes Södertälje Maternity Ward, the Child and Adolescent Medicine Clinic (BUMM), as well as Gynecology and Women's Health. We are a family-oriented department with approximately 200 employees who work closely together, regardless of profession. At our workplace, the patient and family are always in focus. With high participation and short decision-making paths, there are great opportunities to make a difference as an employee. Central to our operations is an inclusive atmosphere driven by high competence, good morale, strong engagement, and openness to change.

Assistant Nurse at the Child and Adolescent Medicine Clinic at Södertälje Hospital

We are looking for you who are good at conveying to children and adolescents that they are important when they visit our clinic. BUMM provides general pediatric services and specialist clinics with various treatment teams for children and adolescents aged 0–17.

Here we meet children and adolescents with conditions such as obesity, ADHD, asthma/allergies, enuresis, and various gastroenterological diagnoses. Our clinic offers exciting and varied work where collaboration between all professions is fundamental. You will join a wonderful, cheerful, and competent team. Here, doctors, specialist nurses/registered nurses, urotherapists, dietitians, psychologists, and child/assistant nurses work towards one common goal; the child/adolescent at the center.

As an assistant nurse at the child and adolescent medicine clinic, duties include reception work such as receiving patients and guardians, administrative tasks like rescheduling and canceling appointments, booking visits to doctor's clinics, and booking interpreters. As an assistant nurse, you play a key role in the clinic's hub and therefore need to have the ability to see the big picture. The role also includes performing procedures such as blood pressure checks, ECGs, as well as measuring height and weight. An independent assistant nurse clinic may potentially be part of the role. As we are a large BUMM, you will meet many children, adolescents, and their guardians daily.

Your personal qualities:

You are positive, receptive, and service-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on your communication skills when interacting with children, adolescents, and guardians. You have a strong sense of teamwork but can also work independently. As a person, you are responsible, efficient, and have no problem adjusting your pace in your tasks. You have a great ability to be the "spider in the web," keeping track of both patient flow and administrative tasks.

Employee-driven improvement work is a natural part of your daily routine, and you have no problem focusing on different tasks simultaneously. It is second nature to you to treat children, adolescents, their guardians, and colleagues positively in all situations.

Personal suitability is of great importance.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Assistant Nurse education with at least 2500 credits.
  • Socialstyrelsen's certificate of right to use the professional title "Assistant Nurse".
  • Specialist Assistant Nurse in Child and Adolescent Healthcare.

Merits:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a clinic or inpatient care.
  • Experience with care and schedule planning in Take Care.

Employment type:

Permanent position, full-time. Daytime, Monday–Friday. Probationary period may apply.
