About the job
The Swedish Electoral Authority is responsible nationally for planning, coordinating, and conducting general elections and referendums. The agency is also responsible for handling tasks within the framework of the European Union's Citizens' Initiative.
As an Election Administrator at the Swedish Electoral Authority, you will participate in the planning and implementation of elections. You will also be involved in development work related to the electoral process, which includes work with communication, educational materials, requirement setting, and the creation of procedures within the field. You will provide ongoing support regarding regulations and procedures both internally and externally to various stakeholders, including county administrative boards, political parties, and municipalities.
The role places high demands on the ability to collaborate and cooperate both internally and with external stakeholders.
The Swedish Tax Agency is the parent agency for the Swedish Electoral Authority, and the Authority's office is located in Sundbyberg. The office consists of approximately 45 employees, and you will work in the team dealing with voting-related issues.

You must also have:
- completed higher education of at least 180 ECTS credits (or 120 old credits)
- at least three years of current and relevant work experience from the public sector
- relevant and current experience of working with elections, for example in the role of election coordinator within a municipality or county administrative board.
It is desirable that you have worked in two or more elections.
Good to know
The position is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
A position with us may involve security clearance. A security check with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment is made. For some of our security-cleared tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.
