Are you our new Energy Engineer?

Do you want to be part of optimizing the energy systems of the future? On the Optimization and Control Measures department, we work to develop and optimize the production of hydropower, combined heat and power (CHP), district heating, and district cooling. By balancing factors such as weather, energy prices, and plant availability, we optimize production to use our resources in the best possible way. With in-depth knowledge of Tekniska verken's energy systems, we work closely with operations to analyze complex relationships, develop models, and improve working methods that strengthen both the business and the energy system. We are now looking for you who want to make a difference.

As an Energy Engineer here, you will become part of an engaged and competent team where analysis, technology, and business meet in daily work. With a focus on production optimization of hydropower, CHP, and electricity trading, you will work both operationally and with a development focus. You will contribute to developing models, working methods, and decision support that create the prerequisites for well-founded production decisions. With varied and exciting tasks, your days will be filled with:

  • Production optimization based on market conditions, availability, and operating conditions
  • Communication and collaboration with operations, maintenance, and business functions
  • Ongoing work related to electricity trading and follow-up

  • Analysis and follow-up of our production

Are you the one we are looking for?

You are analytical, curious, and like to make things work a little smarter than yesterday. You take responsibility, enjoy collaborating, and are motivated by turning data and analyses into improved production decisions. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you have an easy time building good contacts and partnerships within the organization. You are attracted by the opportunity to help shape the energy systems of the future.

Experience you bring and share with us:

  • Master of Science degree, preferably in Energy, Industrial Economics, Technical Physics, or similar
  • Experience and ability to work with data and digital tools
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and spoken

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

  • The energy sector, process industry, or other production-related operations
  • Energy systems, electricity markets, or production optimization
