About the role

The client is a man in his 30s with an acquired spinal cord injury who lives with his family. He needs personal assistance in his daily life to ensure his life functions in a secure and dignified way.

This is a job for you who want to build a long-term relationship and who have the ability to be both present and attentive.

You will work in an environment with clear routines and structure. Introduction takes place on-site, and you will have time to get to know both the client and the working methods. We value good communication, clarity, and respectful collaboration – to ensure that daily life functions securely for everyone.

Tasks

The work includes, among other things:

• Assisting with personal care
• Helping with meals
• Performing household chores
• Assisting with transfers and manual lifting

Working hours

Working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and night – weekdays and weekends:

• 07:00–15:00
• 07:00–18:00
• 15:00–22:00
• 18:00–07:00 (Awake night)
• 22:00–07:00 (Awake night)

Requirements

• Not allergic to fur-bearing animals
• Valid Category B driver's license
• Access to a car
• Good physical strength (manual transfers are required)

Scope: Hourly substitute as needed during the summer

Important to note before applying:

A prerequisite for starting employment at Olivia is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID and submit a tax certificate (personbevis) as well as any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the tax certificate from the Swedish Tax Agency's website.

To work as a personal assistant with us, you must be at least 18 years old. This age requirement follows the regulations regarding personal assistance, escort, and relief in the LSS Act and the Social Insurance Code.

To work with children and young people under 18, you must provide a certificate of no criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning the register check will include both a certificate of no criminal record and a certificate from the suspicion register. These can be ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Please note that processing times may vary, so order well in advance.
