Job Description

We are now looking for dedicated social secretaries for our department, Joint Authority for Children and Young People. Here, you will become part of a competent and thoughtful team of eight social secretaries who support each other in daily work.

In the role of social secretary, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues. Among other things, you will:
- Conduct preliminary assessments and investigations in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Certain Young Persons (LBSB).
- Provide support and professional guidance to children, young people, and their families.
- Collaborate both internally and externally, focusing on creating good and sustainable partnerships for the benefit of the individual.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- A degree in Social Work or another academic education in accordance with the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen).
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Experience working as a social secretary with both children and families as well as adults.
- Experience with public administration within social services.

Working Conditions and Benefits
In the role, you will meet people in vulnerable life situations, which can sometimes be emotionally demanding. The workload varies over time, but you will work in an organization that values a good work environment.
In certain situations where decisions are not well received, there may be a risk of threats and violence. We work with clear routines and a preventive approach to ensure you feel secure in your assignment.
As a new employee, you will be included in an induction program and assigned a buddy. The group has external supervision and access to support from the manager and operations coordinator.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-21.
Working hours: Schedule. Weekdays, daytime according to flextime agreement. Overtime and evening work may occur when the operations require it.
For employment in this position, you must be able to present a valid extract from the criminal record register.
