About the job:
Through our approach, participation and collaboration with families are seen as a given. As a Social Secretary, you believe in the parents' and children's own ability to change and see their own resources. We also work with "Children's Needs in Focus" (BBIC), which contributes to a structure for case handling, implementation, and follow-up of authority exercises.
The main tasks consist of investigation, case handling, and follow-up of interventions according to both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU). The work is characterized by collaboration both internally and with external actors such as schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), and the police. As a Social Secretary, you will have a varied, challenging, and very rewarding assignment. You need to be skilled at creating safety and work alliances with those you meet, so that families feel we live our vision. You have colleagues who step up to help and an outpatient care team that we work closely with throughout the entire process.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Social Work or other relevant higher education of at least 180 credits, approved by the National Board of Health and Welfare's eligibility requirements.
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation and social services guidelines
- Good ability to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish
- Category B driver's license for manual transmission
Merits:
- Previous experience working with Signs of Safety and BBIC.
- Experience with authority exercises within social child and youth care is a plus.
- Training in iRiSk
Personal qualities:
It is important that you are structured and can plan your work independently. At the same time, you need to be accustomed to being able to switch quickly and reprioritize when changed circumstances require it. You make correct assessments and make well-motivated and legally secure decisions, even in acute situations. In your role, you meet children, young people, and families in crisis, and therefore you need to be able to remain calm and professional even in stressful and challenging situations.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
About the workplace:
The unit consists of three target group-oriented teams. Each team is led by a Senior Social Secretary who supports professional practice, and the unit also includes an SSPF coordinator, a specialist social worker, and a placement coordinator as expert resources. We strive for close collaboration with all units within the administration and work together for a social service where it should be easy to come to us and get help. We continuously work with method development and competence-enhancing measures, and currently, there is active work underway to implement the "Signs of Safety" approach.
