The Work and Welfare Administration consists of Individual and Family Care, Support, Service and Housing, and Education, Employment and Prevention. In total, we are approximately 300 employees who work in a salutogenic and solution-oriented manner with a knowledge base in methods grounded in science.

Our mission is to help and support individuals with social problems and/or disabilities, to work preventively and promotively to counteract exclusion and social problems, and to find their way into working life towards self-sufficiency through studies or employment. From a children's rights perspective, we help, support, and protect children and young people so they can live and develop in good and secure conditions.

Location: Solviken Group Housing

We are now looking for a support pedagogue for Solviken Group Housing, located in Valjeviken with proximity to forest and sea. Solviken consists of five apartments and a common area in the middle of the building. The work group consists of ten support assistants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of support pedagogue, you will provide support and service to adults with disabilities. The goal is that together with your colleagues, you create a safe and meaningful daily life with quality care. Furthermore, you should be able to address each person's individual needs and conduct pedagogical work based on this. Your working method should be clarifying and motivating.

As a support pedagogue, you participate in the daily work in exactly the same way as your support assistant colleagues, but you also have responsibility for the development of the pedagogical work at the group housing. In your pedagogical assignment, you should be able to guide and supervise your colleagues in their pedagogical work with the residents. You should be able to support your colleagues in drawing up new implementation plans, improving and developing implementation plans, as well as improving and developing social documentation.

You should be able to implement and follow up evidence-based methods (e.g., low-affective handling, AAC, clarifying pedagogy). You should also be able to collaborate with healthcare staff, relatives, legal representatives, and other actors.

You will work close to the users together with your colleagues and have a major responsibility to, in consultation with the unit manager, drive and develop the pedagogical work in the operation.

Delegated health and medical care tasks are included in the work.

Working hours are scheduled for day shifts, evening shifts, and every other weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree from a support pedagogue education (200 YH credits) or 60 ECTS in pedagogy with a clear focus on the disability area. You also have education in the care program with a focus on disabilities, children and leisure, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.

Knowledge and experience of working with the target group within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) is a requirement. Meritorious is if you have education in and experience of methods within clarifying pedagogy and alternative communication such as TEAACH, TAKK, conversation mat, social stories, and MI. It is also meritorious if you have previously worked based on low-affective handling and have experience working with people with autism, intellectual disability, neurodevelopmental disorders (ND), and challenging behavior.

You have very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have experience of documentation and drawing up and following up implementation plans.

A B-driver's license for a manually shifted car is required.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: Start date by agreement. Internship for six months. Desired degree of employment, of which 50% is scheduled at Solviken Group Housing.

According to the law (2026:43) on register control when working in the home for elderly persons or adults with disabilities, you must be able to show an extract from the criminal record register when offered employment.
