Therapist for Sjöarp Group Housing

Sjöarp Group Housing is tasked with meeting the member municipalities' need for placements for adults with autism and complex needs. Sjöarp offers integrated housing with day activities in a calm and secure environment just outside Bräkne-Hoby.

Sjöarp Group Housing has a total of 13 residential places distributed across 5 houses. The target group is diverse. Some residents have greater care needs, while others may have high-functioning autism.

Job Responsibilities

As a therapist, you support the client with personal care and a meaningful daily life and leisure time. You follow the client throughout the day, including in day activities where engagement is adapted to the client's own needs and conditions.

To create security for the clients, we use clarifying pedagogy, which originates from TEACCH pedagogy, as well as low-affective interaction and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with relevant post-secondary education in behavioral science, social work, or pedagogy, or alternatively relevant upper secondary education such as healthcare and care or child and youth care with a focus on pedagogical and social work. Experience in similar work is meritorious. Experience in dealing with individuals with self-harming and aggressive behavior is also considered an advantage.

The role requires you to have a calm and secure demeanor and strong teamwork skills. Quality assurance work and documentation require clear communication skills in both speech and writing, as well as computer literacy.

You must have a manual B-driver's license and a clean police certificate of conduct.

Employment Terms

• Salary: Monthly salary.
• Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer.
• Start date: According to agreement.
• End date: 2027-05-31.
• Working hours: Shift schedule. Work every third weekend, possible on-call duty.
