About the Position

The Child and Family Unit consists of 26 employees and is led by the Unit Manager together with 2 Team Leaders. The target group is children and young people aged 0–21. We are now looking for a Team Leader for our investigation group, which consists of 10 social secretaries who work with investigating and following up on interventions regarding children and young people.

The Employment and Welfare Administration is currently undergoing a transition to the new Social Services Act. As part of this, a new reception unit will start on January 1, 2027. The current Team Leader for the investigation group will begin working in the reception unit, which is why we are now seeking a Team Leader for the investigation group.

Responsibilities

As Team Leader for the Child and Family Investigation Group, you lead social secretaries in their daily work based on current legislation and are responsible for case management and legal security. In your role, you serve as an accessible support where you lead, coach, and provide methodological guidance in daily work. You distribute and follow up on work in your group, inter alia through workload measurements and methodological guidance both individually and in groups. Together with the Unit Manager, you are responsible for method development and keep yourself updated in the field through current research. Based on the assignment, you will collaborate with other actors, both internally and externally. You also represent the committee in the Administrative Court and the Court of Appeal.

As a Team Leader at the Employment and Welfare Administration, you, together with other Team Leaders, have external supervision and receive good collegial support here. Within the unit, we have close and tight collaboration within the management team where we work together to drive development within the unit and support social secretaries to ensure a good work environment and legally secure work.

We work actively with competence development, and all staff are included in "Yrkesresan" (The Career Journey). Over the past few years, the unit has worked to train all staff in the investigation group in the evidence-based risk assessment methods Earl and Savry, and several employees have training in Erasor.

As a Team Leader, you take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operations and children in focus. You are keen on completing your tasks and work for a good team spirit in the group. You are open-minded and actively seek others' opinions and perspectives. You place great emphasis on working for cohesion in the work group and create room for dialogue.

Qualifications

• We are looking for you who have a social work degree (socionom) and several years of experience working with authority enforcement within Child and Youth services. Experience in a similar position is considered meritorious.
• You are well-versed in the legislation in the field, such as the Social Services Act, the Act on Special Provisions on Care of Young Persons (LVU), the Act on Children in Protected Housing, as well as having good knowledge of BBIC.
• Several years of experience in working with children and young people and authority enforcement.
• Experience representing the committee in the Administrative Court and Court of Appeal.
• Class B driver's license.
• Good ability to handle the Swedish language in speech and writing.
