Support Educator for Group Housing Adonisvägen in Karlskrona

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are a support educator and thrive in a varied and developmental assignment.

As a support educator, you have in-depth knowledge and competence in the field. You may be assigned profession-specific tasks related to quality assurance, for example:

• support colleagues in social documentation and implementation plans
• work based on the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's recommended work methods
• contribute to self-control/audits
• mentor colleagues

The assignment involves motivating and supporting users in their daily lives based on individual needs. You work to create a meaningful, developmental, and high-quality operation for each individual. Through need-adapted support, you contribute to security and strengthen the individual's opportunities for development.

The work involves both independent work and teamwork, as well as collaboration with other professions. The employment also includes working at other workplaces if needed through joint shifts or joint planning.

Group Housing Adonisvägen is located in the scenic Gullberna area with good transport connections. Seven users with varying disabilities live here. The work is largely characterized by clear pedagogy and low-affective interaction.

We are looking for you who want to contribute to the users' development together with an engaged and motivated team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in the form of:

• Education at the University College level, at least 200 university credits in an adequate area of operations (e.g., support educator education or University College psychiatry education)
• University education of at least 60 credits in an adequate area of operations
• Car driver's license
• Basic knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing
• Documentation is an important part of our work, and you therefore need to master the Swedish language well in speech and writing.

Meritorious qualifications also include:

• Education in and/or experience with PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), signs as a communication tool.
• Education in and/or experience with low-affective interaction and clear pedagogy
• Experience working with NPD diagnoses, autism, psychiatry, and intellectual disability
• Education in and/or experience with MI (Motivational Interviewing) or other conversation methods
• Education in and/or experience with conversation mat
• Education in and/or experience with Draw-and-Talk, social stories, and comic strip conversations
• Education in and/or experience with service design

Working hours: Schedule. Sleeping on-call duty is applied at the workplace according to Appendix J
