About the operations:

We are looking for you who want to work as an hourly substitute in our preschools and primary schools in Vallentuna Municipality. You will then be employed as an hourly substitute by the HR department. You can be offered assignments with short notice, but also assignments with longer lead times to cover planned absence in the operations. We need substitutes who can work weekdays, daytime. During school holidays, there are very few shifts, which is why we need substitutes mainly during the spring and autumn terms when school is in session.

You do not need to be a trained teacher, preschool teacher, or childcare worker to work as an hourly substitute with us. What is important is that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language and that you are interested in working with children.

We would like you to be available for work at least 3-4 weekdays per week and value it if you have the opportunity to come in and work with short notice, as the need for you as a substitute usually arises the same morning you are needed.

Tasks: Preschool

As a substitute in the preschool, you support the preschool team in the pedagogical education. At the same time, you are a central part of the children's play and activities and helpful during nap times and meals. You have the child in focus and contribute to creating joy around play and creativity in the child.

Tasks: After-school/Resource

As after-school/resource within primary school, you support the school's students and teachers with their work during the school day. During breaks and in the afternoon after-school care, you together with the regular staff take responsibility for the students' safety and learning. Your focus is always on the students, and you contribute with your engagement in the classroom as well as on the schoolyard.

Tasks: Teacher Substitute

As a teacher substitute, you will lead the teaching in the classroom based on the regular teacher's planning. The role requires that you have a secure and clear leadership, a good ability to create structure, and a presence that inspires trust in the classroom. You need to be able to take responsibility for the group and meet the students with both clarity and sensitivity. In the classroom, you also function as a pedagogical support where you help the students understand and carry out their tasks. You take responsibility for the class during the time you are their teacher substitute. Possibility for longer substitutes may exist, which then means that you are involved in planning the teaching and have contact with guardians.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language.

Merits:

• Ongoing or completed education as a childcare worker, student assistant, after-school educator, or other pedagogical education.
• Driver's license, or that you in some other way can get quickly and easily to our operations.
• Experience of working with the target group children/young people.
• Knowledge of diabetes, NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), TAKK (Signs as Support), special education, or machine competence (woodwork).

The position is intermittent (a need-based employment where you receive compensation per hour worked). We apply individual salary setting.
