As a lifeguard/pool attendant at Piteå Municipality swimming pools, you will have an active, varied, and meaningful job where you contribute to public health, safety, and the joy of movement for both children and adults. Job Responsibilities

As a pool attendant, you will have a varied role where teamwork and responsibility are central. No two days are alike – and that is exactly what makes the job so enjoyable. You will work together with colleagues in a team to create a welcoming, safe, and pleasant environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: swimming instruction, swim school, pool supervision, cash register duties, safety work, customer service, reception, water activities, water purification, cleaning, and daily maintenance.

You work proactively on safety, inform visitors, and are ready to act in case of incidents – always with a focus on safety and good customer service.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a competent swimmer and want to contribute to our goals and values, and who:

• Are responsible and service-oriented
• Have a professional and positive attitude towards people
• Enjoy working with people of all ages
• Have good teamwork skills and contribute to a positive work atmosphere
• Are flexible and enjoy varied work
• Want to learn new things
• Can take initiative and work both independently and in a team

It is an advantage if you have a lifeguard certificate, swimming teacher education, or pool lifeguard training.

A valid B-driver's license and good computer skills are required for the position. A rescue test will be conducted during the recruitment process.

About the Position

This is a temporary position (100%) until May 31, 2027.

Start date according to agreement.

Working hours are scheduled and include days, evenings, and weekends.

About the Workplace

Culture, Parks, and Leisure is one of the municipality's seven departments. Our joint mission is to create welfare and sustainable societal development. Together with residents, businesses, and associations, we are developing Piteå into an even better place to live, work, and thrive.

The Department of Culture, Parks, and Leisure consists of three divisions with just over 100 employees and its own political board as the ultimate authority. The department collaborates closely internally, with other departments, external actors, associations, and citizens. Within the Leisure Division and the "Swimming Pools" unit, responsibility for the municipality's three indoor swimming pools, outdoor pool, and health promotion activities is consolidated.

The municipality has three indoor pools with different focuses, as well as an outdoor pool, and together we develop the operations with a focus on quality, service, and community.
