We are now looking for new colleagues to join our team in Gällivare to strengthen our operations in patrolling and stationary work.

Working as a security guard is perfect for you who like working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a security guard at our office in Gällivare, you will become part of a tight-knit group of about 40 employees. The length of work shifts varies, but at this stationary client, we work in shifts, which means work may occur during all hours of the day. Day, night, and even weekends.

This role is a combination role where you will work both in patrolling operations and stationary operations.

As a stationary security guard, your main task is to deliver security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. Often you work at the entrance to a larger company and check those entering and leaving, but you may also perform patrolling and CCTV monitoring. The tasks may vary, and that is exactly what makes the security guard profession so exciting – the variety!

You may work independently but also in teams, so you must be able to make your own decisions but also collaborate with colleagues to solve any problems and tasks together as a group.

It may also be relevant to work in patrolling operations in this role – but the main focus will be on the stationary operations.

As a patrolling security guard, you are responsible for performing guarding at several clients during your shift. You travel between clients by car and carry out various types of checks, including area guarding, indoor patrolling, alarm activations, and client closures. In the role, it is important to document your work and any deviations you encounter. The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility. The role of patrolling security guard suits you if you want a job where you get to move around. Working hours are mainly at night but also occur during the day.

Do you lack security guard training? We cover it!

The basic training is 9 working days long and is conducted in various locations in Sweden before employment begins. As a new employee, you also start with an introduction period to feel secure in your role and able to handle our systems.

Next training is from August 17 to August 27. Location is Kista, Stockholm.

Requirements

• Category B driver's license
• At least 18 years of age

Merits if you

• Have passing grades in Swedish and English at the upper secondary level
• Have a valid security guard training, VU1 and VU2
• Are flexible for shift work
• Have good computer skills as the work involves some computerized systems

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, you must have passing grades from upper secondary school in Swedish and English and be approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on Security Companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements for approval according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities.

Salary and employment conditions are based on a collective agreement between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
