We are now looking for on-call security guards for our office in Piteå.

Working as a security guard is perfect for you who like working with people and helping them in their daily lives. As a security guard at our office in Piteå, you will become part of a tight-knit team of about 50 colleagues. The length of work shifts varies, but is usually 12-hour shifts, either day or night. It is common to work every other weekend. It is exactly this that makes the security industry so fascinating and exciting – the variety!

As a patrol security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers – primarily at industrial sites, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Usually, you are the one who manages the alarm systems and reports using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and is often experienced as free, but with great responsibility. Working hours are mainly at night, but of course also occur during the day where you often work in a retail environment and perform safety checks for our customers. Within the category of patrol security guards, there may also be alarm response, parking supervision, and security assistance.

As a stationary security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring everything is in order. Often you work at the entrance to a larger company and check those entering and leaving, but you may also perform patrols and camera surveillance. Tasks vary from customer to customer. You work independently and under your own responsibility, usually both day and night.

Do you lack security guard training? We cover it!

The basic training is 9 working days long and takes place in different locations in Sweden before employment begins. As a new employee, you also start with an introduction period to feel secure in your role and able to handle our systems.

The current training sessions are 29/6–9/7 or 10/8–20/8. Both trainings take place in Kista, Stockholm.

Requirements

• Category B driver's license
• At least 18 years of age
• Passed grades in Swedish and English at the upper secondary level

Merits if you:

• Have a completed security guard training, VU1 and/or VU2
• Have experience working in the security industry

As a person, we see that you are service-oriented, calm, and organized, and that you can handle periods of high work tempo. You are interested in technology, understand instructions easily, and are preferably practical. We see that you as a candidate are an independent person who trusts your own abilities, understands problems quickly, and solves them creatively. You have a systematic and careful approach with an eye for detail. Salary and employment conditions are based on a collective agreement between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
