A historic development is underway at SSAB's industrial area in Luleå, where the steel production of the future is taking shape. In the midst of this development, BDX stands as an important partner in daily operations. We carry out assignments within construction, machinery, and transport, contributing to the continued progress of projects, production, and development.
We are now looking for an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator who wants to help strengthen our work with occupational health and safety.
About the role
As an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator at BDX, you will play a key role in supporting, developing, and monitoring occupational health and safety work related to our assignments at SSAB's industrial area in Luleå and our other industrial assignments within the South Division.
The role is both operational and developmental. You work closely with the operations and gain deep insight into the tasks, conditions, and risks involved in our assignments. Through your presence, you become a vital support in systematic occupational health and safety work, providing expertise in risk assessments and job planning, and ensuring that procedures, legal requirements, and working methods are followed. You are also a key part of driving improvement work, spreading knowledge, and ensuring that safety is always considered a natural part of planning and execution.
- Support operations in occupational health and safety matters.
- Conduct and follow up on risk assessments, safety rounds, and occupational health and safety measures.
- Coordinate investigations of near-misses, accidents, and risk observations.
- Contribute to the development and follow-up of occupational health and safety plans, procedures, and instructions.
- Ensure that occupational health and safety work is conducted in accordance with current legislation, regulations, customer requirements, and internal working methods.
- Provide support during job planning and the planning of high-risk tasks.
- Analyze events, risks, and measures to identify causes, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead or participate in training and information initiatives regarding occupational health and safety.
- Collaborate with customers, safety representatives, suppliers, and other internal functions.

As a candidate, you have the following qualifications:
- An academic background in a relevant field and/or several years of work experience in safety and occupational health matters.
- Experience with authority contacts, investigation work, safety culture, and training initiatives is a plus.
- Experience from the industrial or construction sector is a plus.
- You express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are comfortable communicating in English.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).

This is a permanent position with a probationary period.
Employment level: Full-time, daytime hours
Work location: BDX office, SSAB industrial area in Luleå
Start date: As agreed
