About the Role

Securitas in Piteå is now looking for protection guards for assignments to protect vital societal functions in Sweden. This is an assignment for you who are not just looking for a job – but are ready to take on a task with great responsibility and real significance for our country's supply and security. It is about protecting what must work – around the clock, all year round.

As a protection guard, you play a crucial role in maintaining security for operations that are important to Sweden. You work with extended powers, often in close collaboration with our clients.

The work is varied and can include both stationary guarding, patrolling, and access control. You will need to make your own decisions in sharp situations, have good endurance, and a stable judgment. Therefore, we are looking for a person who has the ability to remain calm when others do not – and who is loyal to Swedish interests.

Protection guarding is carried out both indoors and outdoors, day and night. As a protection guard in this position, you work all hours of the day. The work is done in teams but also independently and requires great responsibility. The length of work shifts varies, but is often scheduled in 12-hour shifts according to a rolling schedule. Since we operate in a business that runs every day of the year, working every other weekend is common.

The position includes among other things:

• Protecting vital societal functions against robbery, unauthorized access, and other threats.
• Performing checks according to current regulations and instructions.
• Collaborating with personnel and authorities on security matters.

Requirements

Specifically requested requirements:

• Approved grades in Swedish from upper secondary school.
• Category B driver's license and own car to commute to and from work.
• Swedish citizenship.

Merits if you also have:

• Civil or military protection guard training. If you have completed protection guard training with the Swedish Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), this can be validated for civil use. The protection guard training and GMU must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your certificate of completion must not be older than five years at the time of application.
• Completed guard training (VU1 and VU2).
• Previous experience in guarding protected objects, other guarding, or security work.
• Completed HAS training.
• Approved grades in English from upper secondary school.

Security Clearance

Note that the position is classified and involves undergoing a security clearance according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to current regulations, security interviews, background checks, and register checks will be conducted. The assessment aims to investigate compliance with the law, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and potential vulnerabilities according to the Security Service's regulations and guidelines. Information collected may come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment of you, your life situation, and financial circumstances when assessing your suitability.

In some cases, a corresponding check may be conducted on the person you live with or have a similar relationship with.
