The Community Planning Office consists of several different units, including environmental inspectors, the building permit case officer, and units handling alcohol and housing adaptation grants.

Responsibilities

As a building permit case officer with us, you handle applications for permits, pre-decisions, and supervision matters according to the Planning and Building Act, as well as coastal protection dispensations and supervision according to the Environmental Code. You act as an advisor to the public regarding building permits, often at an early stage. Service to our citizens is a large part of your responsibilities.

The duties of the building permit case officer include leading meetings, preparing and presenting cases to the Community Planning Committee, and participating in the development of the operations.

The position involves independent work, and many decisions are made on delegation. This means you must be structured, responsible, and confident in your assessments. You will have continuous contact with colleagues, clients, contractors, and consultants.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a building permit case officer or equivalent. Experience within municipal operations at the community planning administration and experience working with LEX and EDP-Vision are meritorious.

You have a strong interest in urban planning, legislation, and design. You possess personal maturity, are stable and relationship-building, communicative, and have good pedagogical insight. You are expected to work independently and in a team and have good collaboration skills. You are structured and view service to residents as an important part of the work.

You have good ability to plan and drive work processes forward.

Computer proficiency and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, are basic requirements for the job. Experience is required, as is a valid B-driver's license.

The salary range for this position is between 36,000 - 44,000 SEK/month. We apply individual salary setting based on your experience and competence.
