About Tallbacken School

Tallbacken School is a newly built and modern school located in the Strömsbro district, beautifully situated with nature right at your doorstep. The educational activities at the school include preschool class, primary school grades 1-6, after-school care, and an after-school club. There are currently 205 students at the school. At Tallbacken School, we actively work to increase student attendance. We focus on relational leadership and students' literacy skills across all subjects.

At Tallbacken School, we work with formative teaching. This means we strive to clarify and create understanding of the learning goals students are aiming for, using methods and tasks that make students active and make their knowledge visible. We provide feedback on students' work aimed at advancing learning and work to activate students as learning resources for each other. We work to ensure that students become owners of their own learning.

We are now looking for an engaged teacher who wants to become part of our team and is passionate about formative teaching and creating an active and joyful learning environment where student participation, responsibility, and literacy are at the center.

Responsibilities

As a teacher for grades 4-6, you will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in their knowledge development. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a joyful, varied, and high-quality school day where student development and well-being are in focus. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, student health services, guardians, and is performed according to current goals and guidelines.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching in grades 4-6
• Having class responsibility as well as responsibility for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons
• Actively working on students' literacy skills in all subjects
• Mapping students' needs and adapting teaching to their prerequisites
• Mentorship

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the Swedish compulsory school curriculum
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, for example documentation in Unikum or Office
• Merits for the position with eligibility in more subjects, including art and music

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-12 Or according to agreement.
