Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Secretary/Healthcare Administrator at the Medicine Clinic, you work flexibly in a dynamic organization with many different tasks that are constantly changing. The tasks include, among other things, medical documentation in Cosmic for both doctors and nurses, as well as digital invitations, sampling materials, quality registers, etc. Your workplace is located at a clinic/reception or ward, where you will be involved in daily operations and work together with other secretaries and healthcare staff.

The role also includes participating in the clinic's improvement work and identifying potential for development in daily operations.

About the Workplace

The Medicine Clinic's secretariat organization consists of a unit manager and 23 medical secretaries working across the entire Medicine Clinic.

The Medicine Clinic offers general internal medicine primary care and overarching specialist care to the residents of Västmanland. The clinic is divided into four sections that provide highly specialized care within internal medicine subspecialties as well as neurology. The secretariat organization is an independent unit among the nine different units within the clinic.

The Medicine Clinic's nine units consist of 5 inpatient wards and clinics belonging to their respective specialties. The Medicine Clinic is characterized by close collaboration between sections and specialties. Wards and clinics focus on teamwork and improved care flows. More than 550 employees work at the Medicine Clinic, which has a turnover of more than 1,000 million SEK.

Qualifications

• Approved and completed degree in Health and Social Care Administration or equivalent Medical Secretary/Medical Secretary education.
• Experience working as a medical secretary, preferably with journal documentation in Cosmic.
• Knowledge of diagnostic coding (DRG), good computer skills, and experience with form services.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, meticulous, and responsible. You work independently, take initiative, and enjoy collaborating and contributing to a good work climate. You have a structured approach, professional demeanor, and a strong focus on quality.

You have good knowledge of medical terminology and the Swedish language, and you wish to contribute to the development of a new organization.

Employment Terms

Permanent position, full-time, daytime hours. Probationary period may apply.

Fixed-term contract for 1 year, full-time, daytime hours.

Start date: ASAP or by agreement.

Location: Västerås.
