About Us
The Swedish Customs Authority is currently in a period of growth and development, meaning many of our premises and facilities need renewal and upgrading to better meet new workplace and capacity requirements. As the Authority does not own its own premises, we rent them from external parties. The rentals consist mainly of offices and specific operational facilities. The Swedish Customs Authority also operates numerous control facilities at, among other places, ports and airports.
The Premises Unit works with the Authority's premises supply issues. Our mission is to provide the Authority with the most functional premises possible in both the short and long term. The unit is part of the Administration Department.
The unit manages, supports, and performs tasks related to the acquisition, management, and decommissioning of premises. The majority of employees work in Stockholm, but we operate nationwide.
About the Position
You will work with the Swedish Customs Authority's premises supply, where working with building technical issues is an important component. The work involves, among other things, investigating, planning, and implementing acquisitions/changes to the Authority's premises. You will primarily work as a project manager in premises projects, driving both large and small premises changes. Your daily work will largely consist of analyzing, planning, specifying requirements, negotiating, ordering, supporting, inspecting, and following up throughout all stages of the project.
The unit's mission also includes ensuring long-term sustainable management of the Authority's existing premises. The work includes strengthening the use of digital system support to further streamline property work, as well as actively contributing to the operational processing of management cases to ensure good support for operations.
An important part of your mission is to ensure the physical protection of the premises and to contribute to strategic decision-making.
You will be involved in preparing budget proposals, annual plans for premises acquisition, as well as internal investigations and standard-setting materials. You will be part of an engaged team and will have close cooperation with other units and departments, as well as a large external network. Environmental scanning is a natural part of the work.
We apply flexible workstations and activity-based offices. The primary location is the headquarters in Stockholm, but Gothenburg or Malmö may also be relevant. The work is to some extent adaptable to the applicant's conditions and needs. Travel within Sweden is included in the position as the premises specialists have national assignments.
