We are now looking for a Senior HSE Consultant who wants to contribute to the development of both our customers' businesses and our Safety & Sustainability business area.

About the role

This is a role for you if you want to combine qualified consulting work with the opportunity to have a long-term impact on how organizations work with occupational health, safety, and the environment.

As a Senior HSE Consultant, you will be out at customer sites driving, leading, and executing assignments that make a real difference. You will act as an advisor to executive teams, managers, and specialist functions, while also being close to the operations where changes need to be implemented in practice.

You will work with both strategic and operational issues – from developing HSE strategies and safety culture to conducting risk analyses, training, audits, and improvement initiatives.

We are looking for more than just a skilled HSE specialist. We are looking for a consultant who wants to build long-term customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the development of DEKRA's offering within Safety & Sustainability.

The role is based at one of our offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Umeå, Luleå, or Sundsvall (other locations may be considered for the right person). The position involves travel in connection with customer assignments.

Examples of responsibilities

• Strategic development of customers' HSE work and safety culture
• Advising executive teams, managers, and key functions
• Development of HSE strategies, goals, and action plans
• Risk management, risk analyses, and business reviews
• Implementation of occupational health and environmental legislation
• Development and implementation of management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Interim roles as HSE Manager, HSE Director, or senior specialist
• Incident investigations and improvement work
• Audits, GAP analyses, and compliance reviews
• Training, workshops, and leadership development initiatives
• Project support within the construction, industrial, and energy sectors
• Contribute to the development of new services and offerings within Safety & Sustainability
• Support account managers and business development through your specialist competence
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify new business opportunities

We are looking for someone who

Has a solid background in HSE and is motivated by helping organizations develop.

You thrive in a consulting role and appreciate the variety that comes from working with different customers, businesses, and challenges. At the same time, you have the ability to build trust at the executive level and translate complex requirements into concrete and business-oriented solutions.

You are accustomed to taking responsibility, creating results, and driving improvement work from analysis to implementation.

Qualifications, skills, and experience

• At least 7–10 years of experience in HSE, occupational health, safety, or environment
• Relevant university or post-secondary education
• Good knowledge of occupational health and environmental legislation
• Documented experience in strategic HSE work
• Experience working closely with executive teams and managers
• Experience in change management and business development
• Experience in risk management, audits, or management systems
• Experience from the industrial, energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors is an advantage
• Very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
