About the role

As an Automation Engineer at our Halmstad facility, you will play a central role in developing and improving our production systems and process IT. The role is varied and covers everything from planning and designing new investments to exchanging and upgrading equipment related to new processes and products. You will also work with the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our existing systems.

You will collaborate closely with both production and management, giving you excellent opportunities to influence and drive improvements. In your daily work, you will turn ideas into practice, solve technical challenges, and contribute to the continuous development of the business.

You report to the Area Manager Automation Operations and are based in Halmstad. No on-call duty is included in this position.

Your background

We are looking for you who have education in electrical/automation engineering or equivalent experience. You have at least five years of experience from working in a production environment, preferably within the process industry. You are accustomed to working both operationally with operation and troubleshooting, as well as more long-term with design and participation in investment projects.

Knowledge in IT-related areas such as servers, virtualization (e.g., VMware), and databases (e.g., SQL) is advantageous. If you also have experience with industrial IT systems, control engineering, and platforms such as ABB 800xA or Siemens automation systems, we consider it a significant plus.

You are curious and want to continue developing, both through self-learning and by sharing the experience available in the team. With patience and an analytical approach, you handle complex situations in a constructive manner.

You have good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
