Your Role

In this role, you become part of a team that jointly develops and produces Saab's advanced air defense systems. Here, technology and innovation are combined with collaboration and precision.

As an Electrical Designer, you play a central role in the development and updating of electrical schematics that form the basis for the systems' function and reliability. You are responsible for creating clear, accurate, and production-adapted schematics that meet current standards and customer requirements.

You work closely with systems engineers, mechanical designers, and production to ensure that the design is technically feasible and documented according to requirements. You are expected to contribute actively to our continuous improvement work, participating in the development of methods, processes, and technical solutions - both in design and manufacturing.

The role also involves product maintenance and further development of existing solutions, as well as providing technical support to both the sales organization in early stages and production during construction and assembly.

As an Electrical Designer with us, you will have a varied and developmental role where you are involved in the entire product lifecycle - from concept to finished product.

Examples of tasks:

• Development and updating of electrical schematics in AutoCAD Electrical
• Structuring of circuit diagrams, distribution diagrams, and wiring diagrams
• Design and construction of special cabling and cable harnesses based on specifications
• Component selection and definition of connection points
• Creation of cable lists, connection tables, and manufacturing documentation
• Ensuring correct reference handling, labeling, and document structure
• Change management
• Technical support to production and verification

The position is located in Halmstad. Travel within the country occurs but is generally not considered burdensome. International travel may occur.

Your Profile

We see that you have the ability to understand the customer's wishes/requirements and translate this into a technical solution. You should be analytical, precise, structured, driven, and curious to learn new things. You can make your own decisions and take responsibility for your deliverables. You have good ability to collaborate and communicate in project teams.

We are looking for you who have:

• University or University College degree in electrical engineering/electrical design
• Documented experience in creating and structuring electrical schematics
• Very good proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical
• Experience with special cabling/wire harness
• Understanding of electrical safety, grounding principles, and EMC
• Experience with technical documentation and change work
• Good Swedish and English in speech and writing

Meritorious is experience from the defense industry or other security-classified operations.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
