The company is now seeking personal assistants with special competence for a role where the client has extensive needs for support, supervision, structure, and individually adapted care.

The client does not speak and has limited ability to understand or interpret words. Therefore, the work places high demands on sensitivity, responsibility, adherence to established methods, and the ability to interpret signals, needs, and changes in well-being.

About the role

The work involves providing support in the client's entire daily life. This includes personal care, medical care according to delegation/instructions, habilitation measures, daily stimulation, household chores, and practical tasks at home.

An important part of the role is to contribute to improving the individual's function, creating security, and enabling the best possible life through daily stimulation, structure, and individually adapted support.

We are looking for you who have or can develop knowledge in

We would appreciate if you have in-depth knowledge of acquired brain injuries and an understanding of how such injuries can affect communication, behavior, function, and daily life.

You also need to have knowledge of, or be willing to be trained in:

• Habilitation methods and daily stimulation
• Type 1 diabetes and its significance in daily life and in life-sustaining measures
• Epilepsy and actions in the event of seizures
• Low affective approach (calm and supportive interaction)
• Studio 3 (documentation system)
• Documentation
• Legislation concerning LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments)
• Method-driven work according to established routines and instructions

Training is provided in several of the above areas.

Medical and practical competence

The role requires particular diligence because Type 1 diabetes is a central part of the individual's daily life and health. The assistant needs to understand the importance of routines, observation, reporting, and collaboration regarding the individual's well-being.

Basic knowledge of epilepsy is also important, as well as the ability to act calmly and correctly in the event of seizures.
