Welcome to help shape the future of social services

Where we work together with the needs of the residents in focus!

In our operations, we meet people of all ages, including children, young people, parents, individuals with harmful substance use or addiction, social psychiatric disabilities, victims of violence, and those in need of financial support. We work with authority functions, needs-assessed interventions, as well as preventive and advisory measures to reach people early.

We are facing a change where the social services sector and the care and elderly care sector are merging into a new common sector, the Welfare Sector. The purpose is to create better conditions for meeting future needs and challenges through strengthened collaboration, more secure competence supply, and more consolidated support for residents.

The work with the new organization is ongoing and may involve changes in department and unit divisions in the coming period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are expanding with one more colleague!

The Investigation Unit in Skövde has 21 employees, including SUA (focused on introduction and development), senior social secretaries, social secretaries, and social administrators. The unit is divided into two groups, a children's group and a youth group, where we are strengthening the children's group with an additional position.

The children's group works on investigating the needs of children aged 0–12. The children and youth group helps each other when needed, and the investigation work may therefore also concern older children.

Our work begins after the reception unit has initiated an investigation following an application or a report of concern. The work is carried out based on current legislation, such as SoL, LVU, and LSB, and we use BBIC documentation as support and keep ourselves updated on issues regarding children's needs and the challenges in our surroundings. When an investigation concludes with an intervention, the Intervention Unit takes over for follow-up of care.

At the unit, we work extensively with co-handling, internal and external supervision, and we focus on having a good working environment together. We offer a pleasant and development-oriented workplace with colleagues who are engaged, knowledgeable, and want to do a really good job for the children we come into contact with. On Wednesdays, we have group time with a common breakfast and case/method time, and on Fridays, we make sure to set aside time to go through the week and hand over work before the weekend. We also have the possibility of remote work based on a fixed schedule, where a full-time position corresponds to approximately four working days from home per month.

Do you want to contribute to creating security and positive changes for children and families in Skövde? Then you could be our new colleague!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work and want to work to make a real difference for children and young people. You have a good ability to create and maintain trusting relationships and meet children, parents, and families with respect, sensitivity, and engagement.

Your interest in child development and your understanding of different life situations enable you to provide support based on each child's unique needs. You thrive in a role where case handling, documentation, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life, and you have an easy time expressing yourself both orally and in writing. We value that you have the will and courage to think new thoughts and contribute to the development of our working methods.

A B-class driver's license is required. It is meritorious if you have experience with authority functions, social work with children and young people, and the Pulsen Combine program.

We review applications and call for interviews on an ongoing basis, so do not wait to submit your application. The position may be filled before the final application date.

We welcome your application!
