Job Description
As an Employment Consultant (Arbetsförmedlare), you will focus on both job seekers and employers. A central part of the job is to inform and communicate about the Swedish Public Employment Service's mission, services, as well as rights and obligations. The work requires curiosity and the ability to make complex matters simple.
Through conversations, you map competencies, needs for support, and propose concrete measures. This can include guidance, educational initiatives, or the development of job search strategies. You are expected to stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

Focus Area: SIUS
Some of our new Employment Consultants will work with the SIUS focus area:
SIUS (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support) is a program for job seekers with disabilities who need individual support to find, obtain, or retain employment. The job involves close collaboration with employers in both the private and public sectors, as well as proactive employer outreach to find jobs for job seekers.
Your employment begins with an introduction where you will be well-equipped with the necessary skills to handle your future tasks as a civil servant. If you are ready to make a difference in this important social mission, then the Swedish Public Employment Service is the place for you!
Our Offer
The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The location is Varberg.
We offer you the opportunity to work at a workplace where we value the balance between work and private life. You will have access to a generous holiday agreement, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work remotely for part of your working hours when the business allows. Our benefits also include health care during working hours and a favorable health care allowance.
After a number of months, once you have learned the job and if the business allows, there is an opportunity to enter into an agreement for remote work of up to 49%.

Basic Requirements for the Position
- University/college education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the previous system)
Alternatively
- You have previously been employed as an Employment Consultant at the Swedish Public Employment Service and are assessed to have good prerequisites for meeting today's requirements for Employment Consultants
And
- At least 2 years of working life experience, combined work of at least 50 percent over a total of 2 years
- Good knowledge of Swedish, meaning good ability to communicate orally and in writing, as well as high reading comprehension
- Category B driver's license
Other Merits for the Position
- Experience working with individuals with various disabilities
- Experience working in public administration
- Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, e.g., authorities, municipalities, complementary actors, and healthcare institutions
- Experience of business contacts and collaboration with employers
