About the Role

Do you want to work with advanced technology in a socially vital operation facing extensive modernization and development?

To the Engineering Department at Ringhals, we are now looking for a Control and Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer who wants to develop, analyze, and improve our control systems. In this role, you will combine technical problem-solving, modeling, and analysis with close support to both operations and maintenance, as well as participation in various plant development projects.

About the Job

The I&C Analysis Unit works within control and instrumentation engineering and is tasked with contributing technical expertise in the field. The role requires a good technical understanding and involves designing new control systems, answering technical questions, analyzing events, and contributing qualified support in both line work and project activities. The work also includes interpreting and applying relevant regulations, standards, and requirements in the area.

An important part of the work is to create an understanding of the plant through modeling and simulation. By building models and analyzing various events, we create the basis for technical assessments, further development of control systems, and support for operations in both ongoing operations and future modernization projects.

Examples of Responsibilities

  • Design and further develop control systems based on operational needs and technical requirements.
  • Analyze technical questions related to the plant's function, such as the behavior of systems or components during transients.
  • Build models and work with simulation to create an understanding of the plant and support technical decisions.
  • Participate in investigations, event analyses, and analysis work related to operations, plant development, and component replacements.
  • Support the line organization in technical matters and participate in project activities.

Requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university or civil engineering degree in a relevant technical field, such as electrical engineering, automation, control engineering, or technical physics.
  • Several years of relevant work experience in control systems, technical analysis, modeling, simulation, or investigative work.
  • Very good skills in Swedish (both spoken and written) and good skills in English.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working in project activities.
  • Experience from process industry, nuclear power, or other complex technical operations.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you are a person who finds it easy to collaborate and build good relationships, as the work takes place in a complex operation with many dependencies on other professional categories and functions. You have strong analytical skills and enjoy delving into technical questions that require careful analysis and understanding of the whole. You work in a structured manner, can plan and coordinate your work efficiently, and have the ability to prioritize based on the organization's common goals.
