Summer is here ☀️ and one of our beloved sous chefs has decided to embark on new adventures.

If you want the chance to take over the role of sous chef at the world's most delightful neighborhood bistro, now is the time to apply. Located at Österlånggatan 17 in the heart of Gamla Stan (Old Town), we welcome neighbors, regulars, and guests for lunch & dinner throughout the week.

At Österlånggatan 17, you are welcome whenever you want, however you want – lounging in an arched sofa during a lively dinner with a crisp oyster and a bottle of Chablis. Or perhaps sipping a glass of cava in the bar late in the afternoon. On the menu, you will find tones of the classic, the country kitchen, modern home cooking, and the recognizable feeling of Southern Europe's simple way of eating.

Here you will experience a total immersion in a enchanting environment, seasoned with unpretentious service, a large menu, and a warm atmosphere 🥂

Sous Chef:

As a sous chef, your task is to drive and develop the kitchen within the frameworks set by management, the head chef, and the restaurant manager. Your work involves ensuring that the kitchen is functioning well, profitable, and that the staff is happy and healthy. You will work in consultation with the head chef.

About You

We are looking for you who

  • have previous experience in a leadership position within the restaurant and kitchen industry
  • are unpretentious, clear, and responsive as a leader, are motivated by and can motivate employees to work towards set goals, are social, pleasant, and proactive

About the Role

You will be responsible for, among other things

  • maintaining the company's routines and policies
  • self-control – HACCP
  • leading and coaching kitchen staff

You will also be jointly responsible for

  • inventory, monthly
  • orders and returns
  • ensuring the quality of the food served
  • recipe & cost documentation
  • training on new dishes
  • achieving set food cost percentages
  • optimizing labor costs during specific shifts

You will be working in a strong and skilled team where we value well-being above all else.
