We are expanding our number of care beds and therefore need more staff!

We offer exciting work during days, evenings, and weekends, where no two days are alike.

Here, you will meet and care for patients in need of both acute and postoperative care, focusing on upper and lower gastrointestinal, breast, and vascular surgery, as well as urology and oncological surgery. Other specialties may also become relevant. For you who are a newly qualified nurse, we have SPIK (Specialist Nurse in Clinical Practice) who are responsible for helping and supporting new nurses. We have good opportunities to provide you with a good introduction, both specific to the clinic and hospital-wide. For you who are more experienced, there are development opportunities for paid specialist education or opportunities for research in surgical nursing.

About You

We are looking for you who are interested in surgery, want to work independently, and wish to develop in your role as a nurse. Teamwork is important to us, and we expect you to be good at collaborating and flexible. In meetings with patients and relatives, you are empathetic and keep the patient and their loved ones in focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Your Future Workplace

The Surgical Clinic operates a broad activity divided into upper and lower abdominal surgery, vascular, breast, endocrine, urological surgery, and surgical emergency care. In total, just over 200 people work at the clinic. The surgical clinics in Kalmar and Oskarshamn form a joint clinic; in Kalmar, advanced surgery is located, and in Oskarshamn, activities are conducted that are not normally expected to require intensive care. We are now looking for nurses for our wards in Kalmar.

Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an acute hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and neonatal care. Here, just over 2,300 people work to offer good care and high patient safety to the county's inhabitants. Our employees' continuous development work means that we achieve good results in several different national measurements. The hospital is located close to Kalmar center and Kalmar Sound.
