Do you want to help develop the future of rehabilitation in veterinary care? Are you passionate about rehabilitation, teamwork, and making a real difference for patients and pet owners? This role might be for you.
About AniCura Kalmarsund
AniCura Kalmarsund Veterinary Hospital, together with Läckeby Animal Clinic, Borgholm Animal Clinic, Högsby Animal Clinic, and Blekinge Animal Clinic, forms the AniCura Kalmarsund region. Together, we create a strong region with broad expertise and great opportunities for development and collaboration.
In 2027, we will move into our new state-of-the-art veterinary hospital with a completely new rehabilitation department.
At AniCura Kalmarsund Veterinary Hospital, dedicated colleagues work in fields such as orthopedics, neurology, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and reproduction.
We offer advanced diagnostics with both CT and MRI, have an inpatient ward staffed around the clock, and an emergency clinic open every day between 08:00–22:00. Our modern facilities and well-equipped rehabilitation department create the best conditions for offering high-quality rehabilitation and care.
We are now looking for a licensed physiotherapist who wants to further develop our rehabilitation services and work closely with our orthopedic team.
About the Role
As a physiotherapist with us, you will play a central role in the rehabilitation of our patients. You will work with stimulating and varied cases, primarily orthopedic patients, but also neurological patients and wellness patients.
You will work independently with your own patients, responsible for examination, assessment, treatment, and creating individual rehabilitation plans. We primarily focus on rehabilitation with an emphasis on mobility, balance, and strength training.
In our rehabilitation department, you will have access to modern equipment such as:
- Water treadmill (WTM)
- Balance and training equipment
- Vibration plate
- Therapeutic laser
You will also work closely with our veterinarians, especially in orthopedics, contributing the physiotherapeutic perspective to the investigation and treatment of patients with issues such as lameness. On the ward, you are responsible for assessing and treating inpatients and supporting pet owners with instructions and rehabilitation plans prior to discharge.
Here, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop both rehabilitation work and the future of veterinary care in a business where collaboration, competence, and quality are at the center.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist and have a genuine interest in dogs and cats. You thrive working independently and taking significant personal responsibility, while also appreciating close collaboration with veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and other colleagues. You are confident in your professional role, solution-oriented, and able to adapt to different situations and patient needs.
We would like you to:
- Be a licensed physiotherapist.
- Have extensive experience working with animals and feel confident handling dogs and cats.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be proactive, driven, and eager to develop.
- Value collaboration and contribute to a positive work climate.
- Be passionate about providing the best possible service to both patients and pet owners.
It is an advantage if you:
- Are approved by the Swedish Board of Agriculture for work in animal healthcare.
- Have experience in rehabilitation within small animal care or previous work at a veterinary hospital or clinic.
We place great importance on your personal qualities, commitment, and desire to develop together with us.
