This position is shared between the pediatric and adolescent habilitation services and the adult habilitation services, offering you a varied role working with patients of different ages and life stages. The habilitation center provides interventions for individuals with congenital or early-acquired disabilities, such as autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and mobility impairments.

As a speech and language therapist, you will assess and treat communication, eating, and swallowing difficulties. You will investigate, introduce, and follow up on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), prescribe communication aids, and provide support to patients, their relatives, and their networks. The work is varied and includes both individual patient contacts and educational initiatives in collaboration with other professions.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed speech and language therapist or who are about to graduate. Whether you are new to the profession or have experience, there are good opportunities for development with us. Experience working with people with disabilities is an advantage, but your commitment to the target group is most important.

You are curious, solution-oriented, and thrive in collaboration. You see the value in sharing knowledge and cooperating with patients, relatives, colleagues, and other stakeholders to create the best conditions for the patient.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as a B-driver's license, as travel is part of the role. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

At the habilitation center in Oskarshamn, you will become part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, doctors, nurses, special education teachers, and team secretaries. As a new employee, you will receive an individually adapted introduction, an experienced mentor, and supervision based on your needs. Our speech and language therapists meet regularly to discuss patient cases, share experiences, and work on improvement initiatives.
