Intermercato is looking for an Area Sales Manager who wants to take responsibility for developing and driving our sales and business development within a specific region and a number of selected countries. The geographical area of responsibility will be determined based on the final candidate's experience, competence, and language skills.
About IntermercatoIntermercato is a Swedish company with a wide range of high-performance lifting equipment for eleven different segments. In addition to lifting equipment, we also develop and offer patented solutions for wireless weighing systems used in ports, the forestry industry, and other demanding environments. Our ambition is to always be able to offer the right tool for every task. Intermercato manufactures crane scales, lifting magnets, lifting clamps, and rotators that are sold in more than 40 countries worldwide. Today, we have just over 70 employees distributed across three companies.
This role suits you if you enjoy combining business development, technical sales, and active work close to customers and distributors. You will play a central role in developing sales in your markets by strengthening existing relationships, establishing new business opportunities, and ensuring that Intermercato's products and solutions create long-term customer value.
You will work in close collaboration with other Area Sales Managers, marketing, and product management to ensure that customer needs are translated into competitive offers. You will report to the Sales Director.
ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for developing and driving Intermercato's sales in a specific region and countries, with the main responsibilities being:
- Implement Intermercato's sales strategy in each respective market
- Develop and strengthen relationships with external sales channels and key customers
- Identify and establish new markets, sales channels, and strategic partnerships
- Be responsible for forecasts, KPIs, sales follow-up, and business planning
- Ensure that distributors have the right product knowledge and tools to succeed
- Conduct market and customer analyses to identify new business opportunities
- Represent Intermercato at customer visits, trade fairs, and industry events
- Proactively develop and drive segment sales and service sales
- Manage quotation processes and follow up on ongoing customer-specific projects
We are looking for you who have documented experience in international sales within the manufacturing industry or technical B2B sales. You have experience in developing distributor networks and creating profitable growth in international markets.
As a person, you are business-driven, structured, and results-oriented. You have a strong customer focus and thrive on building long-term relationships while being able to translate strategies into concrete results. We would like you to have:
- Several years of experience in international B2B sales
- Experience in developing and leading distributor and reseller networks
- Documented experience in creating growth in new and existing markets
- Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales management
- Technical background or strong technical interest
- Ability to understand the customer's technical needs and translate them into solutions
- Very good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- Additional languages are a plus

The position is based in Tommarp. The role involves regular international travel, estimated at 80–100 travel days per year, with a focus on distributors, customers, trade fairs, and market development in relevant markets.
